Food Safety Research Laboratory, Inc. is an ISO 17025 accredited testing laboratory specializing in microbiological analysis of food products, and food safety consulting agency, providing services to food industries regulated by USDA, FDA and local state and health departments. Our service consists of comprehensive consulting, auditing, analytical services and training.

CONSULTING SERVICES

Dr. Yundong Chi-Zhang is a recognized Process Authority by New York State Agriculture & Markets and listed as Process Authority by FDA AFDO (Association of Food and Drug Officials). Dr. Chi-Zhang is well versed in FDA, USDA FSIS and State regulations and has extensive experience working with clients on various regulatory issues, including outbreaks, recalls and regulatory enforcement.

Dr. Chi-Zhang has authored thousands of food safety HACCP programs in the past 20 years and provided her expert opinions on risk assessment for process deviations, validation of process controls, conducted root cause analysis and investigation for foodborne recalls & outbreaks, and identified and eliminated microbiological harborage sites and contaminations, working extensively with Listeria monocytogenes, Campylobacter, Salmonella and E coli O157:H7. Dr. Chi-Zhang also offers services in setting up SQF, BRC and other third party GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) food safety audits. Dr. Chi-Zhang frequently conducted Process Reviews and filed Scheduled Process for facilities registered under NY State Agriculture & Markets.

LAB TESTING

We offer routine food product testing services such as pathogen testing, shelf life evaluations, and many other microbiological and chemical analyses. We also provide consulting services in the R&D, troubleshooting of processing issues, and extending shelf life of products. We offer comprehensive environmental monitoring programs.
